SUMMARY


STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure an external USB mouse is plugged in
2. Go to Settings > Input devices > Touchpad
3. In the Enable / Disable Touchpad tab, tick "Disable touchpad when mouse is
pluged in"
4. Click Apply and close the window (touchpad will become disabled)
5. Remove your external USB mouse (touchpad will become enabled)
6. Repeat steps 1 and 2
7. Change any touchpad related settings, and click Apply again

OBSERVED RESULT
The newly affected settings don't seem to have any kind of effect. They only
start applying after a reboot / logout
