            Bug ID: 401918
Summary: Several of the most used IM services are absent and
there is no way to add a custom service
           Product: kaddressbook
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Manjaro
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: kdepim-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: 12949...@opayq.com
                CC: to...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

Several of the most used IM services are absent (WhatsApp, QQ, Wechat, Viber,
LINE, KakaoTalk, Telegram, Signal, Kik, Google Hangouts, etc.). Some of the
newer IM apps use the phone number as ID (WhatsAPP, Telegram, Signal, etc), so
their absence is not so serious. But others like QQ and Wechat (universally
used in China) and LINE (universally used in Taiwan and Japan) make
kaddressbook much less useful in those countries.

More importantly, because kaddressbook can't include a list of all IM services
used in the world, it needs to include the ability to add a custom service.
Compare with the Contacts app on Android, where besides selecting and IM
service from the list you can also add a custom service.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Manjaro, 19.19.6-1 kernel
KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.52.0
Qt Version: 5.11.2
