I notice that dragging apps from the Task Manager or Kickoff to the desktop
will give you the option to "Add Icon" (which is not the best wording, to be
fair), that will create a desktop shortcut like you're envisioning.
What kind of executable? A Python script? An AppImage? Something else? Where
are you dragging it from? And where are you dragging it to?
