Sorry for advertising, but "starfield fullscreen" (run from the build dir since
it looks for the star textures in . only)
a) should work (fullscreenwise) and
b) it's a pretty dumb implementation on the fixed function pipeline, yet in
comparism to glxgears uses textures (in case that should be relevant)

Yes, because it means it's not related to 361091, ie. _NET_WM_BYPASS_COMPOSITOR
and whatever rphl encounters in this case.
