It does not matter if you've tagged a image with "Benjamin" or assigned it a facial area. DigiKam does not distinguish between the tags. The face flag is only for display in the facial engine. They can also rename the people tree. It is only created if there is no tree with facial tags. And the tag "Benjamin" can also be outside of people.
