I am somewhat confused about the relationship between kile and kate. I know
that kile uses kate as its editor component, but some of my favourite features
of kate are missing in kile - such as the split view discussed in this thread,
but also the "multiline tab bar" plugin. Could you explain where to start if I
would like to port a kate feature to kile, or if these features would have to
be implemented fully independently in kile?
