            Bug ID: 397481
           Summary: Upgrade to bionic suggests replacing Neon's
                    update-manager config with Ubuntu's
           Product: neon
           Version: unspecified
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Packages User Edition
          Assignee: neon-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: schra...@gmx.net
                CC: j...@jriddell.org, neon-b...@kde.org, sit...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: ---

I followed https://community.kde.org/Neon/BionicUpgrades to upgrade Neon User
Edition to bionic. It went fine, but there was one thing that may be worth
fixing.

To start the upgrade, I changed `/etc/update-manager/meta-release` as in the
instructions:

# default location for the meta-release file

[METARELEASE]
URI = https://metadata.neon.kde.org/changelogs/meta-release
URI_LTS = https://metadata.neon.kde.org/changelogs/meta-release-lts
URI_UNSTABLE_POSTFIX = -development
URI_PROPOSED_POSTFIX = -proposed

However, towards the end of the upgrade procedure, I was asked whether I wanted
to replace this with the upstream version

# default location for the meta-release file

[METARELEASE]
URI = https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release
URI_LTS = https://changelogs.ubuntu.com/meta-release-lts
URI_UNSTABLE_POSTFIX = -development
URI_PROPOSED_POSTFIX = -proposed

which seemed wrong to me, so I declined.
