Image showing the system mic status and button in Mycroft

I often mute the mic in the system Audio settings while I don't intend to use
Mycroft. However, I forget I have done this and when I start Mycroft via the
plasmoid it doesn't work despite toggling the mic button. I have to go into
the system settings and un-mute the mic there before Mycroft can hear me.

To be a useful feature the mic button in the plasmoid should mirror the system
state and toggling the button should then switch the mic on/off without having
to check the system settings.
