            Bug ID: 394753
Summary: Mount network shares permanently, method to be simple
                    for non IT people.
           Product: kio-extras
           Version: 18.04.0
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Samba
          Assignee: plasma-b...@kde.org
          Reporter: i...@gmx.net
  Target Milestone: ---

Either a tool, or a Dolphin integration, to display, mount, unmount network
shares for a normal user with no technical or IT knowledge.
(not sure to which product to attach this)
This will have the effect to make a permanently mount (generate a fstab entry?)
for Samba/CIFS/SFTP/NFS shares on a LAN.
See Knetworkmounter which looks like it does some of the required functions:
https://neptuneos.com/en/knetworkmounter.html
1) Discovery and display of networks shares, the interactive way Dolphin or
smb4K does, by graphical navigation, is required in the mount process. No IP
address or path is needed.
2) Mount to be by selecting a share, and clicking or right-clicking a Mount
button.
3) Mounted shares should be shown as mounted. E.G. by attaching an eject Icon
in Dolphin.
4) The shares should remain mounted after rebooting. And until they are
unmounted by the user.
5) The possibility to unmount a share by simply clicking on an unmount button.
With a warning/confirmation OK/Cancel dialog.
No knowledge of IP addresses or text editing or command line commands should
required. As this request is intended for non IT people who are expect to
access shares very simply on other systems.
