This is still the case with Dolphin 18.04, but I am not sure if it would be
good to change this behavior. Why should creating a symbolic link result in a
e.g text file? Users will probably be confused if we changed this behavior
which might create further bug reports. Additionally, if you want to copy the
original file, you can simply copy it from the original location.
IMHO, we should preserve the current behavior and close this as WONTFIX. Would
this be OK for you @Freddy or do you have a strong need for such a feature? If
yes, it'd be great if you could show a potential use case. Thanks!
