A reproducible crash occurs under these circumstances:
• Enable "Select" > "Show Global Selection Mask".
• Make a selection.
• Select the "selection" layer in the layer stack.
• Click on the "Duplicate layer or mask" button (or press the corresponding
hotkey).
Unfortunately, I don't think that a kritacrash.log file was generated.
