It is currently not possible to drag files from a compressed archive onto other
windows in Ark, or in Dolphin with the "open archives as folder" option set
(don't know if this is related to Ark or not).
An example use case, I download subtitles and they're in a ZIP archive. On
other platforms (including GNOME) I can just open that archive, and then drag
the subtitle .SRT file to my video player (in my case, VLC) and it loads
properly. In Ark, however, VLC won't recognise the drop and won't load the
file, so I have to manually extract it, then open that folder in Dolphin, and
then drag and drop the SRT file over my video player.
