Hello,
I saw the same symptom.
When I plug the second screen, the two screens come black, although all
applications are running.
After started with the main screen only, I saw that the file for settings of
second screen was wrong. After deleted it, the system works.
I join my files ~/.kde4/share/apps/kscreen/0a24727c50cc715f21df40eed92b1e43
Working system/buggy system.
