I did not find a useful description about replacing it with activities on the internet, if there is something, that explains, how to replace the virtual desktop concept with activities easily, please post. I only read about workarounds like https://github.com/martenjj/wallpaperswitch but I rather like it to work in KDE, as this was always an important feature for me.
