I think, this is a neat feature, but it isn't so clear, which job is supposed
to perform your request. Did you know, that you can create the new files from
selection with dragging?(https://phabricator.kde.org/D8300#158379)
Also, there already exists snippets plugin in the standard set of kate plugins.
Moreover, you could accomplish your tasks using the standard Kate Scripting API
(https://phabricator.kde.org/D8300#161302)
Please, specify some more information about this feature, if you want it
implememted by us :)
