Hi, thanks for your comment. It is indeed a version issue - I've just installed
Kubuntu 17.04 on a new machine, using the default version of kdeconnect, and
the problem is gone.
I'll either do a full upgrade on the other machine, or use the varlesh PPA. I
wasn't aware of that one before.
