I found another way to reproduce this issue.

1. Connect a USB/external drive to your system
2. In Hard Disk I/O Monitor, check if you can see this new drive in the
Settings dialog
3. Exit the monitor and remove the drive
4. Launch the monitor again, and observe the previous driver is not display in
the panel
5. Open the Settings dialog, then click on the OK button

Actual: The previous removed drive appeared in the monitor panel.

Expected: Nothing should change in the monitor panel

I think the Settings dialog somehow remembers all the drivers it has seen
before. And if the user does not explicitly disable the driver, it will display
its status on the monitor. But the Settings dialog does not display those
disconnected/remove driver/partition in the list, there's no way to uncheck
those driver/partition.
