In the new brush interface, there seem to be a bug where if one changes the
engine, then the options does not change or at least it can be perceived as a
bug. For many people, clicking first on the engine, and then the brush isn't
really acceptable as it slows down their workflow. There's a thread on the KDE
forum that I have started, and it appears that I'm not the only one who don't
find this workflow acceptable, and would like to see v4 act like the 3.1.4 or
at least it should be a option.
