Just for general information: amarok doesn't produce sound itself, this is done by the phonon sound engine and backends. So it is important to know which phonon backend you use, and what exactly you mean "music is in parts broken": can you listen only to some pieces and not others? That would indicate you use the gstreamer backend and lack the plugins for some of the file types (likely mp3, as those are never shipped with the distribution by default for patent reasons, the users have to install those plugins themselves.) is the music "broken" in terms of chipped? That would point to some problem in the underlying sound structure (alsa, pulseaudio) or a hardware problem (bad connector for external speaker/headphone). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
