TITLE
KDE Applications not showing close X after displaying their application window
PRECONDITION
1. Setup KDE so that a number of KDE applications can be run by clicking on
icon in window bar ("An Fensterleiste anheften"), such as Dolphin, falkon,
Konsole, systemsettings. Icons of non-KDE apps can be placed here too.
ACTION
1. In window bar, click icon Konsole to open it.
2. In window bar, click icon Dolphin to open it.
3. In window bar, click systemsettings to open it.
OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR
1. Konsole is opened. In Window bar to the right the icon for "Einrollen", max
and min are shown. Close X is missing (NOK).
2. Filemanager Dolphin is opened. In In Window bar to the right the icon for
"Einrollen", max and min are shown. Close X is missing (NOK).
3. Systemsettings is opened. In In Window bar to the right the icon for
"Einrollen", max and min are shown. Close X is missing (NOK).
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
1-3.) All applications opened should show the X close button to the far right.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION***
- For any of these open applications, drag the window slightly bigger (i.e. to
the right). The X close button icon will be shown immediately.
- Systemsettings will show X close button when opening, as it will memorize
size and position and also the X close icon.
- Konsole and Dolphin also show the X close icon when dragging window bigger
and they will also memorize size of their windows, but even then they do not
show the X close icon when this larger window is closed and then re-opened.
- Settings for window decoration does not seem to matter, i.e. breeze same
issue as with other style.
I have chosen these applications for bug report because they natively show KDE
style and window decoration. Issue not observed with non-KDE applications, such
as MS Edge browser or Noi AI interface.
I was not sure where to assign this report to as it might be related to
applications, to underlying window manager or Qt etc.
