I can confirm that the patch from https://invent.kde.org/plasma/plasma-workspace/-/merge_requests/7278 (applied cleanly on top of 6.8.2) solves the issue for me. Here is how I was able to reliably reproduce the issue before the patch, and after it it doesn't happen anymore. 1. Connect laptop to external screen or project 2. Switch to mirror mode 3.
