PROBLEM: On gemini.google.com, “Download PDF” on a long conversation does
nothing when the extension’s site access is “On all sites”. It works with “On
click” or the extension disabled.
FINDINGS: Gemini creates a hidden about:blank iframe (0×0, visibility: hidden)
and calls print() on it. With the extension injected, the frame never fires
beforeprint and no print preview opens. Nothing is logged in the page or the
service worker. Changing the feature toggles has no effect. With a copy of the
extension where "match_about_blank": true is changed to false in the manifest,
the button works. Changing it back to true reproduces the failure. The manifest
injects content-script.js with all_frames: true, match_about_blank: true and
run_at: document_start.
SUGGESTION: don’t inject into about:blank frames (set match_about_blank to
false), or avoid modifying the DOM of frames that have no real content.
