Drew <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #8 from Drew <[email protected]> --- The user should be able to independently define the offsets from sunrise and sunset that the transitions begin and end. This would satisfy everyone. I have another view on why this customization would be useful. I'd like to make the transition much *more* gradual than the default. I would like the transition to only begin 30 minutes *after* sunset (i.e. when there is no more light from the sun in the sky) and finish 4 hours after sunset. I like my color temperature to be about 1500K within the 2 hours leading up to sleep because reducing blue light exposure in those hours improves my ability fall asleep and stay asleep. But for much of the year, the sun sets before 5pm. That's at least 5 hours before I go to sleep. I don't want my computer screen to be *that* amber at 5pm. I still prioritize seeing an accurate image on my screen at that time. I don't want to compromise that to have a relaxing color palette in the middle of the day. I'm actually still trying to keep my energy up and get stuff done at that time. Actually you sleep better at night if you get plenty of exposure to blue light during the day. It's only in the hours right before sleep that you want to limit blue light exposure. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
