I like this patch. Thanks. So we already have --with-gdbscripts-dir which is where the gdb python scripts are installed. This usually goes to /usr/share/gdb/auto-load/ where would --with-gdbinit-dir go to? We should probably add that (and explainthe difference) in the documentation.
