Cristian <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #7 from Cristian <[email protected]> --- Another data point from a hybrid NVIDIA + AMD laptop, Plasma 6.7.5 (Fedora 44, kernel 7.2.13, NVIDIA 615.78.08, Mesa 26.2.5). KWin renders on NVIDIA (KWIN_DRM_DEVICES=nvidia:amd); the external 4K screen is on NVIDIA, the internal 2560x1600 panel on the AMD iGPU. With both screens on, the Overview takes ~1 s to appear. With the lid closed (external screen only) there's no visible delay. Debug log for one activation, lid open: 14.439 Overview triggered 14.445 Created EGL context } view for screen 1 14.511 Created EGL context } 14.598 Created EGL context } view for screen 2 14.651 Created EGL context } 14.769 Error creating EGLImageKHR: "EGL_BAD_ATTRIBUTE" Lid closed: two contexts (~130 ms) and no EGLImage error. Context creation is ~50-70 ms each on the NVIDIA driver, which the persistent-context change for 6.8 (bug 479250) should take care of. But that only explains ~0.2 s of the difference here. The EGL_BAD_ATTRIBUTE error appears once on every activation, only when the AMD-driven panel is active, and the rest of the delay seems to follow it, so the cross-GPU import may be a second cause. KWIN_DRM_NO_MODIFIERS=1 didn't make the error go away. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
