Incorrectly spaced items in the global menu widget
I am using a laptop connected to an external display. In this setup, the
Laptop's internal 1080p screen is scaled to 120%, while the external 4K monitor
is set to 150% scaling.
After the recent update to Plasma 6.8.2, the spacing of the items in the global
menu widget has become messed up on the external display (see attached
screenshot).
After some investigation, I was able to narrow the issue down to the scaling
settings: It only happens at 150%, which I was able to reproduce on both
displays. 100, 120 and 200% work fine.
As a workaround, I have now set my display to 147.5% scaling, where the bug
also disappears.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOUR
Global menu items are spaced correctly regardless of the display settings
OBSERVED BEHAVIOUR
Global menu items are spaced incorrectly at 150% display scaling
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Use global menu
2. Open System Settings and navigate to the display preferences
3. Set scaling to 150%
4. Open an application which makes use of the global menu, i.e. provides a menu
bar
5. Observe
