A screenshot demonstrating the issue.
DESCRIPTION
Since upgrading to KDE Plasma 6.8.0, various on-screen display (OSD) messages
are incorrectly clipped. It affects OSD messages triggered by mouse wheel
actions and related input gestures like toggling Night Color, muting or
changing sound volume or changing the screen brightness.
It seems that the OSD background no longer adapts to the OSD content.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Toggle Night Color on or off and observe the resulting OSD message.
2. Change the screen brightness by scrolling the mouse wheel over the
brightness control in the Plasma system tray.
3. Change the audio volume by scrolling the mouse wheel over the volume
control.
4. Mute or unmute audio by pressing the mouse wheel button (middle-click) on
the volume control, if supported by the current configuration.
OBSERVED RESULT
Some OSD messages are vertically clipped. The background is too small for the
size of the icon and text.
EXPECTED RESULT
The OSD dimensions should adjust correctly to the displayed content, so the
icon and text can be fully visible.
