This is with like 5 Application Launcher and a bunch more Application Menu widgets, in various configurations and locations. I even kept one open as the timer ran down to see the change live. Across all of them, both types of badges (on apps and on categories) vanished at the same time. I can't say if they vanished on exactly the same frame in the open one, might have been a couple of milliseconds difference between them. In other words, I can't reproduce it in these conditions. I can obviously see that there's something wrong in your video, but have no idea how to get that to happen. And I haven't heard about this problem from anyone else. I suspect it's something specific to your system/configuration. But without knowing what it is, we're at a bit of an impasse.
