Lukas Kucharczyk <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #14 from Lukas Kucharczyk <[email protected]> --- Root cause appears to be in Solid, not the Dolphin plugin. UDisks2::StorageVolume::isIgnored() (src/solid/devices/backends/udisks2/udisksstoragevolume.cpp) ends with: const QString backingFile = m_device->prop(QStringLiteral("BackingFile")).toString(); return !backingFile.isEmpty() && !backingFile.startsWith(QDir::homePath()); So any loop device whose backing file lives outside $HOME is marked ignored, and KFilePlacesModel filters it out of Devices. That matches comment #1 (~/Downloads works, a secondary disk doesn't). Reproduced on Frameworks 6.30.0 with an ISO at /mnt/storage2/foo.iso, mounted via Dolphin. It is mounted under /run/media/$USER/<label>, and udisks reports SetupByUID = my uid, yet solid-hardware6 shows StorageVolume.ignored = true for /dev/loop0. A narrower check would avoid hiding user-mounted images, e.g. not ignoring loop devices set up by the current user (Loop.SetupByUID) or mounted under /run/media / /media. Suggest moving this to frameworks-solid. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
