In the first one, the two panes show different places: the left pane is on Disk B (Disk B > home > 0 - pending > ticket appeal), and the right pane is ~/Documents. So the preview may depend on where the file is, not on the pane. Could you check these? 1. Open ~/Documents in the left pane and Disk B in the right pane. Does the preview move to the left pane, or does it stay with ~/Documents? 2. Attach the output of these commands, with the folder of Disk B that you use in the left pane: findmnt -T "/path/to/the/folder/on/Disk B" findmnt -T ~/Documents grep -A5 PreviewSettings ~/.config/kdeglobals 3.
