If an exception occurs during the transfer (e.g. network timeout, stream failure, or connection drop), execution jumps directly to catch (e: Exception), leaving behind an empty 0-byte or corrupted file. Track whether each file was successfully received, and clean up any incomplete fileDocument if an exception occurs during the transfer.
