hi there
i decided i really wanted to try out krita, as photoslop has been constantly
crashing and i am desperate to get away from adobe.
i decided to download krita, as it looked like it had everything i’d need in a
good replacement, but when installing it wouldnt open.
after it not opening and not showing any activity in the task manager, i
decided to uninstall and try the portable version, but came across the same
issue.
i then found the log file in appdata, however, the only error that showed was
that “krita didn’t close properly”.
next, i researched online and saw someone recomended trying the .com file
instead of .exe in the krita portable, i did that and got these messages.
does anyone have any ideas on how to solve this issue?

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. install krita in any way, wether that is the official installer, portable
install, or winget.
2. attempt to launch krita
3. nothing happens

krita doesnt open

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
it was recomended from the krita artists forum that i run a program called
debug view whilst opening the software to see what it says. a file attached to
this document shows the results, which seem to be very similar if not the same
to waht krita.com file was showing.
