Photo of the screen after Fn+PrtScn: Spectacle region overlay with "Click and
drag to make a selection." shown, cursor still an arrow instead of a crosshair
DESCRIPTION
Taking a screenshot with Fn+PrtScn opens Spectacle's region overlay, but the
cursor stays an arrow instead of a crosshair, and from then on nothing is
clickable. The mouse still moves, but no window, panel or desktop reacts to
clicks.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On a Surface Laptop 5 with Fn lock off, press Fn+PrtScn (Spectacle opens in
region mode).
2. Try to click and drag a selection.
OBSERVED RESULT
The dark overlay with "Click and drag to make a selection." appears, but the
cursor stays an arrow. Clicking does nothing, and clicks stay dead everywhere
afterwards, with the touchpad or a USB mouse. The keyboard still works. Clicks
only come back after disabling and re-enabling the pointer devices through
KWin's D-Bus API (org.kde.KWin.InputDevice enabled false/true), or after
logging out. Photo attached.
EXPECTED RESULT
The cursor should turn into a crosshair, I can select a region, and clicks keep
working afterwards.
