https://invent.kde.org/markcockram/digikam/-/wikis/Video-Face-Tagging

I implemented some basic MVP for it here. It lacks proper customizability for
how frames are selected. It's also not necessarily quite disc usage optimized
yet. But I am very happy about the user interface and the usability of it
because you can start playing a video that has detected faces. pass for each
phase that is not tagged yet so that you can tag it if you are in the display
faces mode in the videos and it's been working great for me.

This is mostly a proof of concept but it's working on my machine and I am using
it without any issues. It's just a little bare bone. But should the time come
that either I or someone else proceeds with properly integrating this, without
excessive use of AI or perhaps using AI then definitely take a look at my setup
it has some features that I think are desirable for the actual official
implementation.
