--- Comment #8 from Mihai Sorin Dobrescu <[email protected]> --- Digging into it showed under Wayland it creates a `dolphin_dolphin_dolphin` file that can contain one `dolphin` instance, as it never save a second `dolphin` state. It ignores completely the sessions saved under x11 which contain the same info, structurally. Issuing `dolphin -session ...` in command line does not load the X11 session files under Wayland either. So I see the possibility to migrate X11 session files to Wayland session files, but it can't save and restore more than one `dolphin` window state.
