Álvaro <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #2 from Álvaro <[email protected]> --- I can reproduce this on Fedora 44 with Plasma/KWin 6.7.5 (so it is still present after the fix for bug 520344 shipped in 6.7.1). Setup: Spanish (es) layout, internal laptop keyboard, Plasma Keyboard set as the virtual keyboard (default). No IBus/Fcitx running, XMODIFIERS=@im=none. Test: typing "tó" quickly 100+ times into a kdialog --inputbox (Qt, uses zwp_text_input_v2) while tracing the client with WAYLAND_DEBUG=1. - With Plasma Keyboard enabled: about a quarter of the words came out as "to". In the trace, the dead_acute key (evdev 40) never reaches the client via wl_keyboard.key. When composition works, the client receives zwp_text_input_v2.commit_string("ó"); when it fails, the "o" key is delivered as a plain wl_keyboard.key event and nothing is committed. Using QT_IM_MODULE=compose in the same dialog gives 100% "tó", so the keys arrive fine at the compositor. - libinput debug-events at the evdev level shows all key presses in the correct order; the failing cases are the ones where dead_acute is pressed before the previous key (t) is released, exactly as described in this report. - With System Settings > Keyboard > Virtual Keyboard set to "None": 30/30 "tó", and the trace shows the dead_acute key delivered directly to the client. Applications affected here: KWrite, Obsidian (Electron with --enable-wayland-ime). Not affected: kitty (composes locally). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
