            Bug ID: 526415
Summary: Lack of location in the integrates widget calendar
    Classification: Plasma
           Product: plasma-integration
      Version First unspecified
       Reported In:
          Platform: EndeavourOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: major
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
In Plasma 6, EventDataDecorator (in eventdatadecorator.h) lacks a location
property. The C++ backend reads the calendar event location, but it is not
exposed to the QML frontend via Q_PROPERTY, making it impossible for the
digital clock tooltip (or the calendar view) to display the event's location.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Add a calendar event with a specific "Location" field (e.g., a room
number or address) via KOrganizer or by importing an .ics file.
2. Enable the PIM Events plugin in the Digital Clock widget settings.
3. Click on the Digital Clock in the panel to open the calendar and hover
over the event to trigger the tooltip, or look at the event details in the
Agenda view.
OBSERVED RESULT
The event's location is not displayed anywhere in the UI. Checking the
auto-generated QML types for org.kde.plasma.workspace.calendar confirms that
EventDataDecorator only exposes title, description, eventColor, and eventType.
EXPECTED RESULT
The location property should be exposed to the QML frontend (e.g., via
Q_PROPERTY(QString location READ location CONSTANT) in eventdatadecorator.h),
allowing QML components to display where the event takes place.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: EndeavourOS
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30.0
Qt Version: 6.11.2
Kernel Version: 7.2.7-arch1-1 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 7 7840U w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 64 Gio of RAM (54.7 Gio usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION This is particularly problematic for university and
corporate schedules where the location field contains critical information
(room numbers) that users need to see at a glance without opening a full
calendar application.
