            Bug ID: 526156
Summary: Eyedropper cannot select a particular shade of orange
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kontrast
      Version First 26.08.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: NixOS
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION

When i use the eyedropper color selector to select anything with this
particular shade of orange (#ff4820) it freaks out and cannot select it. Truly
one of the most bizarre computer bugs i've ever experienced.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create an HTML document that uses the color #ff4820
2. Open Kontrast
3. Use the eyedropper tool to select a section with that color.

OBSERVED RESULT

The Background or Foreground hex code is set to #000000 but the actual
background or foreground is set to #eff0f1

EXPECTED RESULT

The hex code and background are set to #ff4820

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System: NixOS 26.11
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.5
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.30.0
Qt Version: 6.11.2
Kernel Version: 6.18.48 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 16 × AMD Ryzen 9 7940HS w/ Radeon 780M Graphics
Memory: 96 GiB of RAM (92.1 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor: AMD Radeon 780M Graphics

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

I use Kontrast rather a lot and this is the first time it has happened. I can
set the hex code to #ff4820 manually and it will show the correct color in the
background, but if i use the eyedropper to select it—the background that
Kontrast itself is displaying—the same freakout behavior still happens.
