            Bug ID: 526147
Summary: The problem with the cursor position (location)
    Classification: Applications
           Product: konsole
      Version First 26.04.1
       Reported In:
          Platform: Kubuntu
                OS: Linux
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: minor
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
The problem with the cursor position occurs when scrolling through the bash
history and when a long command appears. The next time you select a command
from the history, use the "Up" and "Down" keys to move the cursor from the
beginning of the "Bash prompt" by a certain number of characters forward,
leaving behind a part of the other command. Changing the size of the konsole
window helps to reset the incorrect display.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. type: ls -lah
2. type: echo 'apt-get clean && apt-get update 1>/dev/null && apt list
--upgradable 2>/dev/null | grep 1234567890'
3. or type: echo "Very
loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong
command"
4. Use keys Up/Down to view history

OBSERVED RESULT
The cursor position is displayed incorrectly.

EXPECTED RESULT
The cursor must always be at the end of the command selected from the bash
history. At the same time, the command must be displayed correctly (in the form
in which it was executed or entered).

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Kubuntu 26.04 LTS
