No, I don't mean the darkening overlay. I mean the translucency setting in Desktop effects. I have it set up to make transparent windows when inactive. There is really no way for me to show it on a screenshot but i recorded a video showcasing it if it helps https://youtu.be/wIkD4mZWCXU after taking a screenshot with spectacle it simply makes all windows transparent even if i click on them or alt tab to them it doesnt change back to opaque.
