It's copying the ISBN to search other sites for identifying numbers to link to in ISFDB and other bibliographic sites so that I can document books for others to identify first edition points, etc. After contributing a few thousand entries it just occurred to me that I'm editing out the dashes on a lot of ISBNs. Maybe it's just me and no one else would ever care about it. Amazon works off and on with dashes (weirdly inconsistent across their sites (US, UK, CA)...it works one day and not the next but they are listing all of their ISBNs without dashes now. The LOC doesn't work with dashes (they converted all of their listings a few years ago to not include dashes). Barnes & Noble doesn't work with dashes (all of their listing are without dashes now). Again, Tellico isn't the issue, it's the world that's moving away from the formatting. Thank you for the change and all your work. It is appreciated.
