I understand that Chromebooks are not officially supported at the moment. However, many schools use Chromebooks as their main devices for students, so I believe it would be very valuable if GCompris could have better Chromebook support or a version specifically optimized and updated for ChromeOS. GCompris is an excellent educational tool, and better compatibility with Chromebooks would make it much easier to use in school environments. I am currently using the *Android version of GCompris 26.1*, updated on *March 9, 2026*, installed on Chromebooks. So far, I have noticed the following issues in some activities: - *Complete the puzzle*: the pieces do not move correctly. Sometimes, while trying to drag them, they suddenly move upward and appear in apparently random positions or as shadows on the screen. - *Throw the ball to Tux*: it does not work correctly with the mouse. I can only control the activity using the arrow keys. - *Move the mouse or touch the screen*: simply moving the mouse over the sponges does not work. The activity only reacts when I click on the sponges. - *Control the hose*: the hose cannot be controlled correctly with the mouse. - *Falling Letters and Falling Words*: the Chromebook physical keyboard does not work in these activities. Regarding the last issue, I would like to add that *so far I have not found any GCompris activity that requires typing where the Chromebook physical keyboard works correctly*. This is particularly important in schools because these activities are very useful for teaching keyboard use, typing, literacy and computer skills. I can test other activities as well and report additional issues if that helps the development team. Thank you again for your attention and for the great work on GCompris.
