--- Comment #5 from Méven <[email protected]> ---
Git commit 741f40da195022b5d426b5459734eae42ec4df5e by Méven Car.
Committed on 04/09/2026 at 17:11.
Pushed by meven into branch 'master'.

KFileItem: detect locally mounted remote filesystems in isSlow()

isSlow() classified a file by KFileSystemType, treating only NFS and SMB as
slow. A file on another network filesystem that is mounted locally (kio-fuse,
ftpfs, 9p, ...) was therefore reported as fast, so callers that defer work for
slow filesystems did not. In particular FilePreviewJob picked the local preview
size limit instead of the remote one, so previews were generated for remote
files even when the remote limit was set to "no file".

Ask the mount the file lives on and use KMountPoint::probablySlow() instead.
That is backed by libmount's own network-filesystem detection plus autofs,
subfs
and kio-fuse, so a locally mounted remote share is recognized regardless of its
type. The lookup goes through the cached KMountPoint accessors, so it does not
re-read the mount table per item on kernels that report a unique mount id, and
is cheaper there than the previous uncached KFileSystemType parse.

FilePreviewJob no longer needs its own slow-filesystem helper and uses
KFileItem::isSlow() directly.
