Systems with only a root user aren't supported by KDE, they cause all sorts of subtle bugs. Please create a regular user and attempt to reproduce the crash. If you can, we need to get a backtrace as the message in the bug template says. If you can reproduce the crash with a regular user, can you please attach a backtrace, as detailed in https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports ?
