--- Comment #5 from V <[email protected]> --- Okay, I've done a bit more testing and I was able to find a reproducible behaviour. The behaviour seems to be tied to the use of the "Create from Clipboard" option. The values in the "Content" tab for "Custom Document" appear to always be set for the last created document from EITHER the "Custom Document" OR "Create from Clipboard" (saving the document is not necessary). Templates do not seem to affect this behaviour. The issues overall kicks off because the values for the "Content" tab for "Create from Clipboard" reset to their default values each time you open the "Create new document" window (even with the same image in the clipboard). This is a one-way process ("Create from Clipboard" >> "Custom Document"). Overall, I'm not exactly sure if this behaviour is intended or not but it introduces an inconsistent behaviour within the program. Ideally, I would think that the "Content" tab's values should remain set to their previous value for each the "Custom Document" and "Create from Clipboard" options separately. Alternatively, if the desire is to keep the values set to the values used in creating the last created document, then the values for the "Create from Clipboard" option should not be resetting each time the "Create new document" window is open. Refined report below (I'm not sure if this issue warrants being split into two separate reports): --- #DESCRIPTION The saved values in the "Layers:" field found in the "Content" tab of the "Custom Document" section of the "Create new document" window is automatically set to the values last used by the user when creating a new document using either the "Custom Document" or "Create from Clipboard" section of the "Create new document" window. The corresponding values in the "Create from Clipboard" section are never preserved and are always reset to their default values. #STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open the "Create a new document" window 2. Using the "Custom Document" section's "Content" tab of the "Create new document" window, set the "Layers:" field to a value greater than '1'. 3. Create the document. 4. Either close the document, save and close the document, or continue directly to step 5 (the behaviour should be unaffected by this decision) 5. Reopen the "Create a new document" window 6. Navigate to the "Custom Document" section's "Content" tab of the "Create new document" window. Check the previously set values, they should remain unchanged. 7. Repeat steps 2-6 as many times as desired, even creating new documents from a template, the values should remain unchanged until step 9. 8. Copy an image to the system clipboard 9. Open the "Create a new document" window 10. Using the "Create from Clipboard" section's "Content" tab of the "Create new document" window, notice that the "Layers:" field's value is set to '1' 11. (Optional) set the "Layers:" field to a value greater than '1'. For clarity, set the value to be different from the value you previously chose form the previous steps. 12. Create a new document using the "Create from Clipboard" section using these values. 13. Either close the document, save and close the document, or continue directly to step 14 (the behaviour should be unaffected by this decision) 14. Open the "Create new document" window and repeat step 6, only now, the values should be set to the same values used to create the new document using the "Create from Clipboard" section of the window. 15. Navigate to the "Content" tab of the "Create from Clipboard" section of the "Create new document" window. Notice that the values are now reset to their default. #OBSERVED RESULT The saved values in the "Layers:" field found in the "Content" tab of the "Custom Document" section of the "Create new document" window are automatically set to the last used values used to create a new document using EITHER the "Custom Document" or "Create from Clipboard" section. Additionally, the values in the "Layers:" field found in the "Content" tab of the "Create from Clipboard" section of the "Create new document" window are NEVER saved and will always revert to their default value. #EXPECTED RESULT The saved values in the "Layers:" field found in the "Content" tab of the "Custom Document" section of the "Create new document" window should be automatically set to the last used values used to create a new document using ONLY the "Custom Document" section.
