Discover displays the update icon as soon as the update check is started and
the update is found without waiting for the whole check to finish. Discover
needs to wait until the update check is completely done and then display the
update available icon in the taskbar. Once in a while I get the error for the
lock file when I click the icon.
E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock. It is held by process 58155
(apt-get)
W: Be aware that removing the lock file is not a solution and may break your
system.
