On Chrome half the video is a different tint. It moves around with the window.
Both on firefox and chrome.
DESCRIPTION
Video playback has a sharp vertical boundary near the middle of the video. One
side of the boundary has a visibly different color tint from the other.
This occurs in both Firefox and Google Chrome and affects every YouTube video I
have tested. The artifact sometimes disappears briefly, but later returns.
The boundary is part of the video/window content: it moves together with the
window and is visible in screenshots captured with KDE's screenshot tool. It is
therefore not fixed to a physical region of the display.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Log in to a KDE Plasma Wayland session on an AMD Radeon 880M/890M system.
2. Open Firefox or Google Chrome and play a YouTube video.
3. Observe the sharp vertical color/tint boundary within the video.
4. Move the browser window and observe that the boundary moves with it.
5. Capture a screenshot and observe that the incorrect tint is present in the
captured image.
OBSERVED RESULT
Approximately half of the video is displayed with a different color tint. A
sharp vertical boundary separates the two regions.
The issue occurs in both Firefox and Chrome, follows the browser window, and is
present in screenshots. It occasionally disappears for a short time during
playback or recomposition.
EXPECTED RESULT
The entire video surface should be rendered with consistent colors and without
a vertical tint boundary.
