Bug ID: 524340
Summary: Opening a submenu in the GUI and then navigating to
another menu with systemsettings prevents reopening
the initial submenu.
Classification: Applications
Product: systemsettings
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: minor
Priority: NOR
Component: sidebarview
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When clicking a menu item that has a submenu (e.g. 'Display & Monitor') the
sidemenu navigates into that menu and lists the submenu items (i.e. 'Display
Configuration', 'Night Light', 'Screen Edges'); a '< Back' button is also
presented at the top to navigate back to the main menu. If you navigate away
from this submenu without clicking the back button (e.g. with `systemsettings
kcm_users` in a terminal) the menu/gui will update, but clicking the initial
menu item again will not navigate into the submenu and not list the submenu
items.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open System Settings
2. Click Display & Monitor in the sidemenu
3. Enter `systemsettings kcm_users` in a terminal
4. Click Display & Monitor in the sidemenu (again)
OBSERVED RESULT
The sidemenu does not navigate into the submenu.
EXPECTED RESULT
The sidemenu should navigate into the submenu.
