What the function of an XOR cursor is
In Windows, there exists a setting to change your mouse color to "Inverted".
What it does is make the brightness and color of whatever is beneath the cursor
the diametric opposite of it. This functionally makes the cursor always avoid
blending in to scenes regardless of what is on screen at any given moment.
Think of the cursor turning white when over a black area, orange when over a
blue area etc.
Internally, this is called a "XOR cursor". Once upon a time this "technology"
was patented, but it has long since expired. (See US patent no. US3609749A)
There's a script called "kwin-effect-xorcursor" by github user "jinliu"
(https://github.com/jinliu/kwin-effect-xorcursor) that performs this action,
but I have observed it having problems when using the "shake to enlarge"
feature on my machine, as well as it not working at all on another.
I believe this function would be much appreciated if it were properly added
into KDE.
