            Bug ID: 376515
Summary: Using folder view widget causes extremely high CPU
                    load, feels very sluggish
           Product: plasmashell
           Version: 5.9.2
          Platform: Other
                OS: Linux
            Status: UNCONFIRMED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: Folder
          Assignee: h...@kde.org
          Reporter: andreas.eckst...@gmx.net
                CC: plasma-b...@kde.org
  Target Milestone: 1.0

I've noticed this regression beginning with plasma 5.9.1. Only dragging the
mouse cursor across the folder view on my desktop causes the plasmashell
process to shoot up to 100% CPU usage, and icons light up with two or three
seconds delay. Moving or resizing also has this kind of delay between action
and consequence. Happens for both 'Desktop' mode and files mode. When clicking
an icon to start a program, there is a delay, but not as severe. Using the UI
elements in the bottom panel seems to be OK, there's no noticeable lag here.
